Join us for an intensive weekend workshop in Rhythm with Signs with renowned musician and creator Santiago Vázquez.
Designed for  musicians and advanced  students, this workshop offers a deep dive into the language of collective improvisation, conducting, and musical creation.

Rhythm with Signs is a unique system of musical communication created by Santiago Vázquez, using hand and body gestures to conduct and shape spontaneous music in real time. It allows musicians to improvise together within a shared structure, creating complex rhythms, melodies, textures and arrangements without written scores. It is a powerful tool for exploring creativity, listening, interaction and collective musical expression.

Santiago Vazquez is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, and the creator of the percussion group La Bomba de Tiempo—a cultural and social phenomenon that has drawn crowds of over 3,000 people every Monday night in Buenos Aires for the past 18 years.
For this group, Santiago developed a sign language dedicated to collective improvisation—or, more accurately, « instant composition. »
In 2014, he published the *Manual of Rhythm and Percussion with Signs*, the definitive guide to experiencing composition through rhythm. Currently touring the globe to demonstrate his method, Santiago is at the helm of a worldwide phenomenon.
